Traffic at Standstill After Potato Slough Bridge Gets Stuck Open

fox40.com — SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY- Traffic on Highway 12 was at a complete standstill Sunday, as the Potato Slough Bridge across part of the delta was stuck open for about an hour. Many who live and stay at the nearby KOA Tower Park Resort & Marina said this is not the first time.

Man Shot and Killed in Rancho Cordova, Deputies Searching for Shooter

fox40.com — RANCHO CORDOVA- A 19-year-old young man was shot and killed outside a Rancho Cordova apartment complex near Bradshaw Road and Highway 50. The Sacramento Sheriff's Department said it got several reports of shots fired around 2:40 in the afternoon, on Lincoln Village Drive. When deputies arrived they found the victim with at least one gun shot wound.
