Herbert to sign bill moving prison to SLC — A spokesman said the bill hit the governor's desk Wednesday night and he planned to sign it immediately following his briefing with reporters. Salt Lake City officials have suggested they might launch a referendum to try to repeal the relocation bill. They have voiced concerns about the costs and the location's environmental considerations.

State to pay $650k to autistic student who tumbled from bus — Wade survived the accident. Neither the driver nor the aide noticed Wade was missing, despite an alarm that sounded, and the bus drove on, according to court documents. Cars behind the bus called 911 to report the incident. Assistant Attorney General Bruce Garner said the student suffered a concussion and other injuries.
