Mark Zuckerberg rings the Nasdaq bell as Facebook shares go on sale Facebook shares have jumped on their market debut in one of the most high-profile share sales of recent years. Shares in the social networking site, initially priced at $38 each, rose to $43 within the first few minutes of trading. Founder Mark Zuckerberg officially opened the day's trading on the Nasdaq exchange earlier. He appeared via video link from a celebration at the social network's headquarters in California.
