
The woman, originally from Cameroon, boarded the flight at Paris's Charles de Gaulle airport without any luggage and began exhibiting suspicious behavior as the jet made its way to Charlotte, North Carolina. Two F-15s were scrambled to fly alongside the 767 as it mades its way to Maine, the first available landing point inside the United States. Acting on advice from Transport Security Administration, the pilot told passengers that the flight was simply stopping for fuel. A US official told AFP there was no evidence that the woman was part of a terror group, and the woman is understood to be going through psychological evaluation by American authorities. "It doesn't appear to be any terrorist nexus at this point," said the official.
