She was a life long democrat, her mother, however, was a life long republican. While going through things at my mother’s house in preparation for an estate sale I found an anti JFK coloring book my grandmother had saved along with some other republican memorabilia. JFK has been so mythologized that for myself, growing up in 80s and 90s, it was surprising to see such harsh attacks leveled against him.
