I recently retested the Gas Buddy app for iPhone and Android and realized I could save serious cash in South Florida if I shop around for fuel prices. Using the free app Gas Buddy this weekend, I found a 19-cent per-gallon price swing between the nearest and cheapest gas station prices near my home vs. near my work place. That means I should be buying gas near home rather than on my home from work, and I will save about $1.90 per 10-gallon fill up – or $10 or more in my case per month. That adds up. Comcast has begun rolling out Skype service for South Florida Xfinity customers, offering a widescreen High-Definition video calling experience. The company announced its version of video Skype will be available in about 10 markets by the end of this week, including parts of South Florida. With Skype on Xfinity, customers may make and receive video calls from their TV in HD-resolution, and send and receive instant messages via Skype while simultaneously watching The Miami Heat in the playoffs.
