3-Month-Old Girl Abducted by Father After He Allegedly Assaulted Child’s Mother in Palmdale: Deputies

ktla.com — Sheriff's deputies in Palmdale were searching Friday for a 27-year-old man suspected of assaulting the mother of his child and then abducting the 3-month-old girl. Ellsworth Young was believed to be driving a 2004 blue Honda element with Washington license plate AFD9769, according to Lt. Adam Ellison with Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Palmdale Station.

Small Dog Rescued From Rain-Swollen L.A. River

ktla.com — A firefighter lowered from a hovering helicopter rescued a dog from the Los Angeles River during a sudden afternoon rain storm on Friday. The small brown dog was spotted floating down the swollen river near Memorial Drive and Forest Lawn Drive, said Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Suge Knight Reportedly Involved in Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash in Compton

ktla.com — A fatal hit-and-run collision in Compton was being investigated Thursday afternoon, when rap mogul Marion "Suge" Knight was reportedly involved in a fatal crash in the same area. Witnesses at the scene told KTLA they saw Knight working on a video production in Compton where TMZ reported the Death Row Records founder got into a fight with crew members and then ran over a bystander.

Culver City Hospital Evacuated Due to Fire; Patients Moved Outside
