Tied to rope, Madison County deputy rescues suicidal woman from Chittenango Falls

syracuse.com — Cazenovia, NY -- A Madison County deputy, tied to a rope, rescued a suicidal woman late last week who threatened to jump off a cliff at Chittenango Falls state park. Deputies were called to the top of the gorge after a woman climbed over the fence on a cliff about 150 feet above the base of the falls, Undersheriff John Ball said in a news release.
