Warning of increase in life-threatening heatwaves

That is according to a new report that also predicts that extreme rainfall could lead to a four-fold risk of exposure to flooding.

Ebola vaccine from Glaxo passes early safety test

Two women challenge symphysiotomy redress scheme

rte.ie — Wednesday 26 November 2014 18.54 Two elderly women who underwent symphysiotomy operations have brought a legal challenge to the Government redress scheme announced recently. The scheme was approved by the Government on 29 October and published on 10 November. It provides for payments of between €50,000 and €150,000 and is being assessed by retired judge Maureen Harding Clark.
