Sources say Governor’s office offered deal to restore Public Integrity Unit funding if Lehmberg resigned — AUSTIN - After vetoing funding for the anti-corruption unit of the Travis County District Attorney's office, emissaries of Texas Gov. Rick Perry engaged in negotiations that would have seen the funding restored, provided District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg resigned her position, several sources told the San Antonio Express-News.

Judge orders exhumation of mayor's body — Sheriff's deputies investigating Bohlke's death determined that he was killed by an aggressive stud donkey. [...] Toni Bohlke, the widow of the 65-year-old former mayor and retired U.S. Air Force pilot, has maintained since August that her husband was slain. Toni Bohlke filed a legal request to have the body exhumed from Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
