nj.com — CAPE MAY - Almost 10,000 homes in Cape May were without power tonight after a transformer malfunctioned, a spokesman for Atlantic City Electric said. The company's spokesman, Frank Tedesco, said 9,700 of Atlantic City Electric customers were without power after the transformer went out around 9 p.m.
