(KTHV) - According to the family, 14-year-old John Hern, victim in a Malvern hit and run accident, was pronounced dead at Children's Hospital at around 6:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon. Thursday, Jan. 29, Hern was trying to push start his broken down dirt bike, when a driver, investigators believe was 'under the influence', hit him and knocked him unconscious, according to the family.

Sidney Allen told THV11 that a shooting happened near the intersection of 11th Street and Fair Park Boulevard late Friday morning. When police arrived on the scene, they found one victim with one gunshot wound.
