Two Amherst police officers hurt while making arrest — AMHERST, NY - Two Amherst police officers was injured while trying to arrest a robbery suspect Saturday at about 10 p.m., police say. The officers were arresting the man on suspicion of petit larceny at the Walmart on Sheridan Drive when the suspect bolted.
