NY ranked third-lowest in gun deaths

wgrz.com — New York reported the third-lowest number of gun deaths in the nation in 2013, according to a report issued today by the Violence Policy Center. Only Hawaii and Massachusetts had lower rates. New York previously had the fourth-lowest rate. The report said New York's rate dropped from 4.99 gun deaths per 100,000 residents in 2012 to 4.39 per 100,000 in 2013.
