John, who is being treated at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, developed the infection last weekend while performing at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. “The attending Cedars-Sinai physician recommending that Elton not perform any concerts for approximately seven days with complete rest and antibiotic treatment to cure his respiratory infection and prevent any damage,” Caesar’s Palace said in a statement. Six of the worst road junctions inspected as part of a review of the 500 most dangerous crossings in the capital have passed without any improvements being made, City Hall heard today. Cycle groups said they were disappointed that there was little evidence of improved cycle safety five months after Boris Johnson, the Mayor of London, announced the review after a spate of fatalities amongst cyclists. Thirty-nine junctions have been inspected so far under Transport for London’s improvement programme, Caroline Pidgeon leader of the Liberal Democrats in the London Assembly, told the first mayoral question time since Mr Johnson was re-elected on May 3.
