The latest “fashion week” is Miami Metropolitan International Fashion Week going on May 24-26. The event morphed out of what used to be called Brickell Fashion Week, which gave the downtown Miami boutiques and the shops in Mary Brickell Village a chance to sashay their wares. And the new venue for the catwalk capers of swimwear, eveningwear, daywear and accessories is art gallery space LMNT at 55 N.W. 36 Street in Miami. Tickets range in price from $45 to $375. If you’re like me you hear the words “summer camp” and you think midnight showings of “Rocky Horror” have returned of Lady Gaga is touring again. Nope. But there is something happening this summer that’s so fabulous it might as well be high camp: Modeling Camp Miami is June 26-29 at the Alexander All Suite Oceanfront Resort. The four-day boot camp with workshops (posing tips, runway coaching, makeup, casting advice) is for teenage girls and culminates in a photo shoot and fashion show. She didn’t get to meet Oprah. But it’s still a big deal for Plantation’s Jennifer Cohen who recently won a Cover Girl contest that means she’ll be featured in the June issue of “O The Oprah Magazine.” She also got a $2,500 check for her Sydney & Alexandria Cohen Foundation, Inc. “My husband initially nominated me,” Gohen said. “When I got the call I thought it was one of my public relations friends trying to trick me.
