Police chief joins push for DNA samples from suspects
calgaryherald.com — Calgary's police chief has joined provincial counterparts who want officers to be allowed to collect DNA samples when charging suspects, but Alberta's Solicitor General says that's up to the federal government. The Alberta Federation of Police Associations presented its case for collecting cheek swabs to federal politicians in April.
