Hartley photo Bill Sadler, owner of Arturo’s Uptown Italiano, sent word today saying the suit pitting the restaurant and its former chef Arturo Boada has been settled. Boada abruptly left Arturo's Uptown Italian in March of 2011. He returned to the kitchen in May 2011 with Arturo Boada Cuisine. In a news release, Sadler says: “From the beginning I felt that Boada suing us didn’t make sense. The amount we settled for was what I originally would have paid him for his shares plus the real estate, so what was the point? At one, approximately 300 workers were swarming the 1,130 foot Pleasure Pier, the latest amusement park conceived by BOI and Landry’s owner Tilman Fertitta. Stella Sola, the Texas-Gulf-Coast-meets-Tuscany restaurant in the Heights, has closed, owner Bryan Caswell said Tuesday. The restaurant served its last meals on Saturday. Owners Caswell and partner Bill Floyd (who also own and operate Reef, Little Bigs and El Real) said that the restaurant’s landlord has been in the process of selling the building, which put a question mark over Stella Sola, Caswell said.
