If there's one airline that hates to go down without a fight, it's Spirit. The airline has now decided to mount a large campaign to fight the government on its newly enacted rule requiring that the all-inclusive ticket price be displayed in advertisements and on websites. Despite the negative reactions from many in the travel community, the airline does have a point. Previously, airlines could advertise prices before most taxes were tacked on. So that advertised $9 fare on Spirit may have actually cost the traveler up around $40 thanks to all the taxes and fees added on by the government, airports, and anyone else who isn't the airline itself. Boeing 787 Dream Tour Flies On to Bangkok and Singapore in February January 23rd, 2012 • By Matt Molnar The world tour of Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner has added two stops to its itinerary for February: Bangkok and Singapore.
