Officer disciplined for drinking, driving police truck — Bellevue Police Officer Dion Robertson has been punished for driving a police bomb squad truck to a brew pub, drinking two beers, then driving the department vehicle to another officer's home, where he drank more. Robertson was seen drinking the beer at the Issaquah Brew House on November 10 where he was attending an appreciation dinner for the Bellevue SWAT team.

The firm has conducted over 150 searches for police chiefs in cities with populations ranging from 2,000 to 3 million, according to Jeff Reading, communications director for Mayor Murray.

$225,000 payout to man mauled by Lakewood K-9 — Chad Boyles of Pierce County has agreed to a settlement of $225,000 for injuries inflicted when he was attacked by a Lakewood police dog in 2011. Boylessued the City of Lakewood in federal court requesting $3 million in damages; the case was expected to go to trial this summer.

King Co. Sheriff fires deputy who threatened to arrest reporter — A King County Sheriff's deputy involved in confrontation with a Seattle journalist last year has been fired. Deputy "K.C." Patrick Saulet was fired for dishonesty and abuse of authority, according to a termination letter dated January 30. Saulet was one of several law enforcement officers who threatened to arrestDominic Holden during a July 30 confrontation.
