Tri-state area braces for messy Saturday storm

Flood warnings issued as gusty nor’easter soaks tri-state area

pix11.com — NEW YORK (PIX11) - A strong coastal storm brought heavy rains, gusty winds and coastal flooding to the tri-state area, prompting multiple flood warnings through the afternoon Tuesday. A flood warning is in effect for Westchester County, the Bronx and Fairfield through 3:15 p.m., and for Long Island, Queens and Brooklyn until 4 p.m.

Winds will also gust 55 to 60 mph over the City, Long Island, and Coastal Connecticut. Temperatures will be in the mid-40s for much of the area.
