kansascity.com — Police this morning identified the man killed while trying to cross a busy street on a scooter as Lloyd O. Ackers, 85, of Olathe. An eastbound sport utility vehicle struck Ackers about 2 p.m. Friday as he was trying to cross Santa Fe Street just west of Ridgeview Road.
