nj.com — TRENTON - Internal investigations by the New Jersey State Police take too long to complete, allowing problems to fester and unnecessarily holding up trooper promotions, a report issued today by the state comptroller shows. Of the 48 cases of misconduct reviewed by Comptroller Matthew Boxer, only 10 were finished within the required 120-day window, the report found.
