Senate passes fracking oversight bill

dispatch.com — A bill that passed the Ohio Senate 27-6 this afternoon would make oil and gas companies disclose more details about the chemicals they use to help drill wells to the state's Utica shale. Even as supportive lawmakers, drilling regulators and industry officials touted the plan as the "toughest in the nation," environmental groups said it still lets companies withhold info on chemicals used to "frack" these wells.
