Despite the weather, more than 500 pugs and their owners turned out for the 12th Annual Portland Pug Crawl to benefit the Oregon Humane Society on Sunday.More than $7,500 was raised through voluntary donations at MacTarnahan's Taproom in northwest Portland as pugs and people turned out to celebrate the smooshed-nose breed.More than 85 pugs participated in the highlight of the afternoon -- the annual costume parade -- which is an increase from last year.Celebrating the theme of this year's event, "Pug Nation - A Better Pug for a Better America," the dressed-up pugs took on a mostly patriotic theme.
