Ficano pressured ex-appointee to do Election Day politicking, lawsuit says

freep.com — James Wallace, a graphic artist in Ficano's communications department, says he was fired Jan. 9 after refusing such work. Most of the pressure came from top Ficano appointees, but on Oct. 22, 2010, Wallace received an e-mail from "Ficano himself confirming that plaintiff had to work the polls on Election Day without pay," according to the suit.
