mlive.com — LANSING, MI - The next political fight over abortion in Michigan could be about how health insurance covers the procedure. Right to Life of Michigan is backing a petition drive aimed at prohibiting insurance policies from covering elective abortion unless additional coverage is bought through an optional rider.

mlive.com — Some severe thunderstorm warnings have been issued for central and northern Michigan. Conditions are right for more severe storms to develop this afternoon. The main threat will be isolated high wind gusts, and large hail. An isolated tornado can't be ruled out however. As the afternoon progresses, the storms should expand in coverage southward.
