fox8live.com — A couple of days earlier in the week, we managed to get a few showers to move through early enough to help with temperatures, but the dry weather is back. High pressure will keep things dry through most of the weekend. Without the rain and clouds we can expect to see temperatures soar again.

fox8live.com — It's another hot day across the area. Most locations are currently at peak in the middle 90s. With mostly dry conditions, we are expecting to keep the heat around through the weekend. Lots of action to our north and east around 4 p.m., but the rain has not made an impact across our area.

fox8live.com — No break from the heat as Louis Armstrong International Airport hit a record high for the date at 97 degrees tying the temperature for this date from 2000. Nicondra: With high in control, rain elusive for rest of week - FOX 8 WVUE New Orleans News, Weather, Sports, Social

fox8live.com — Temperatures made it into the 90s for most of us once again today. Factor in dew points in the 70s, and it feels more like triple digits in many locations. All that humidity keeps sweat from evaporating and prevents our natural cooling process from working.

fox8live.com — NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Sunday started out wet with a number of big booming storms moving along our cold front all through the day. Most of the heaviest storms moved off shore by mid-day, but we still had passing showers that continued into the afternoon.

Nicondra: Sunday drier north, scattered storms south - FOX 8 WVUE New Orleans News, Weather, Sports, Social

fox8live.com — It was a busy Saturday with several periods of very heavy rain. Most storms were fast moving down pours, but didn't leave a lot behind. Most of our weather watchers called in less than an inch of rain. The unusual factor is the cold front that is draped across the area.
