Fatal shooting in W. Harris County Harris County shooting: May 25, 2012 A man died in a shooting after a confrontation at a bar on Texas 6 in west Harris County early Friday morning. The shooting happened about 3:30 a.m. in the 4200 block of N. Highway 6 near Clay Road and Bear Creek Park, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. The victim was apparently shot in a parking lot, before running across the street into a strip center and El Coyote bar, where he worked. Boy, do I feel silly. With a third of the season essentially complete, my preseason predictions yet again prove that I have no business predicting anything. The mighty Los Angeles Galaxy, who steamrolled through the competition last year while winning the MLS Cup, are stuck in last place in the Western Conference with a mere 10 points through 12 games. So much for picking them to repeat. Heck, unless they have a tremendous turnaround, they are likely to miss the playoffs in the stacked Western Conference. The Dynamo are tied for sixth in the Eastern Conference with 13 points over 10 games, but they are actually fifth and in playoff position on a points per game basis with 1.3 points per game.
