How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Know the area. I love having stories dropped in my lap, but I work for a hyper-localized paper and my readers care about their backyard.
Why did you become a journalist?
I have an insatiable curiosity. And I look at every piece through the eyes of the one reader who thinks this article will really matter.
