What was your first job as a journalist?
The first company to hire me was the Queens Tribune, where I was the associate editor. Freelanced in New York City before that.
Why did you become a journalist?
Wanted to be a foreign correspondent since high school because I liked to write and felt Americans needed to know more about the world.
