In the first decade of the 21st century, the Canadian band received the fifth-most radio play and was the 11th top seller of albums in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Congressman Mike Coffman sounds like a prisoner of war reeling off his name, rank and serial number in an interview with 9News only Coffman’s answer to every question is, “I stand by my statement that I misspoke, and I apologize.” The Aurora Republican’s been under fire since an fundraiser in Elbert County earlier this month where he was asked a “birther” question and responded by saying, “I don’t know whether Barack Obama was born in the United States of America. I don’t know that. But I do know this, that in his heart, he’s not an American. He’s just not an American.” A supporter recorded Coffman’s statement, which eventually was aired by 9News.
