John Doerr on the great entrepreneurs of the last half-century
pandodaily.com — In his nearly 40 years in Silicon Valley, John Doerr has worked alongside many of the greatest entrepreneurs and leaders in history. The first: Former Intel CEO Andy Grove, with whom Doerr worked closely in roles ranging from intern to a leading sales person at the microchip company.@camerondgray @johndoerr thank *you*! glad you enjoyed

Jaron Lanier: Information doesn’t want to be free, and ads are screwed
pandodaily.com — Computer scientist and author Jaron Lanier has turned his back on the "information wants to free" meme to which he once subscribed, and he thinks advertising as a business model for media is doomed.just one ticket left for our john doerr event tonight... pandodaily.com/2013/05/22/for…
Forty more tickets on sale for our John Doerr PandoMonthly! (And a new venue…)
pandodaily.com — The fun thing about doing events every month across three cities is there's a high probability something, somewhere will go wrong. Introduce a bold idea to switch up the look and feel of the marquee event, and well, you're sort of asking for it... We've been doomed when it comes to venues this month. The bible belt's "porn problem": Religious cities watch as much porn as non-religious cities pandodaily.com/2013/05/23/the… via @pandodaily
The bible belt’s “porn problem”: Religious cities watch as much porn as non-religious cities
pandodaily.com — Apple's got a porn problem. Xbox? Huge porn problem. Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest? Just three giant porn problems, basically. And with a name like Wii, you know it's got a porn problem. And the biggest porn problem of all? Tumblr, of course. But now that's somebody else's problem.Hearst hires Demand Media and Yucaipa execs for SF Chronicle pandodaily.com/news/hearst-hi… <- WHOA! big hire for the chronicle! exciting
Hearst hires Demand Media and Yucaipa execs for SF Chronicle
pandodaily.com — The media giant tapped Demand Media's Joanne Bradford and former Los Angeles Times CEO Jeffrey Johnson to help the flailing San Francisco Chronicle. Johnson will be the newspaper's publisher, while Bradford will be the president. San Francisco: Get your ticket to see John Doerr at PandoMonthly now!
pandodaily.com — I don't think it's hyperbole to call our PandoMonthly San Francisco guest this month a legend in the venture capital world. If there was a hall of fame of venture capital somewhere, John Doerr would be voted in on the first ballot. (Also, for the bulk of the US population, that'd be the world's most boring museum...)@justinwisz @TheMan i'd love to see another example of a tech blog that regularly sends reporters around the world to cover startups.
