Notable among these performances is the appearance of Godspell on the list. Traditionally, only the shows nominated for best musical and best revival of a musical are permitted performances on the telecast. Since Godspell did not make the cut, having been entirely shut out (receiving zero nominations), it is quite unusual for it to have been granted a spot on the show. In some bombshell casting news, Minka Kelly and Matthew McConaughey have just been cast as Jackie Kennedy and John F. Kennedy. What?!Precious director Lee Daniels just revealed that the two will play the Kennedy couple in his upcoming project The Butler, which is based a Washington Post article by Wil Haygood on Eugene Allen, the late White House butler who served eight presidents during his tenure from 1952 to 1986. Forest Whitaker will play Allen, with Oprah Winfrey playing his wife.
