Madikizela-Mandela: "It's a great day for all of us... [in the 1970s] I would never have imagined that in the world."
Madikizela-Mandela: "I'm one of those who never went to the southern suburbs. I've remained with my people here to develop Soweto."
Madikizela-Mandela: "We pride ourselves in the fact that Soweto has developed into what it is today."
Madikizela-Mandela told me: "It means everything. It means we are getting there to total liberation. This is our Sandton, our Bryanston."
