democratandchronicle.com — As a deadly tornado moved across Oklahoma Monday afternoon, Fairport native Doug Wells and his family began to pack for their underground tornado shelter in the backyard. The tornado never reached them, touching down in Moore, Okla. instead, about 45 minutes away from their home in Shawnee.
