Re: A Licence To Snoop, editorial, Feb. 13. As a senior and one who lost family in the Holocaust, I am afraid that our federal government has lost its direction. It is proposing a law that would give them as much power as the KGB or the Gestapo and SS of the past. I was especially saddened to hear Public Safety Minister Vic Toews used the same tactics as those groups, when he said something to the effect of: “If you are against my law, you are for child pornography.” He tars all who simply wish to keep what little privacy we have left.
