Bower disappearance 'looks like an accident,' sheriff says

Bower, a Villa Rica, Ga. resident, went missing the night of May 4 at a campground at the Talladega Superspeedway.

Gadsden grandmother breaks up altercation with shotgun, one wounded

Bobby Jackson said the incident happened at 10:12 p.m. in the 3200 block of Stonewall Avenue. Witnesses said a 34-year-old man armed with a knife tried to start an altercation with three men, attempting to cut one of them.

Report: Body found near Talladega Superspeedway confirmed as missing Georgia man Nick Bower

According to the report, the body was found shortly before noon about one mile and a half from the speedway. The body has been taken to a forensic lab for identification will be determined.

Truck runs into Tuscaloosa Days Inn, driver seriously injured

Chipotle Mexican Grill to open Strip location Tuesday

al.com — TUSCALOOSA, Alabama -- Chipotle Mexican Grill will open its second Tuscaloosa location on the Strip (1203 University Boulevard) on Tuesday at 11 a.m. This is Chipotle's second Tuscaloosa location, the first located at Midtown Village. The new 3,257 square-foot restaurant features seating for about 65 guests and will be open daily from 11 a.m.
