India Media Buries Paid News Report

blogs.wsj.com — A major new report on the phenomenon of paid news in India's media is, well, hardly making big news. The report, submitted to Parliament last month by the Standing Committee on Information Technology, is pretty racy stuff. It details how newspapers, television channels and radio stations allegedly take money for positive news coverage.

Ripped down the middle

sankarshanthakur.com — From The Telegraph, 15 June 2013 Patna, June 14: Either the wind did it or some vandal. But intentional or unintended, man's mischief or nature's collateral, it's a sight whose symbolism would grab even the blind. The first big Narendra Modi hoarding to be emblazoned at the BJP headquarters in Patna in the Nitish Kumar years stands ripped down the middle.

Being Mr Jinnah - The Express Tribune

tribune.com.pk — One day, while driving past the Mazar-e-Quaid with my family, I heard my four year old son refer to it as the 'White Masjid'. While a place of worship is certainly deserving of respect, and I did certainly feel a touch of parental pride at his budding deductive abilities, I felt the record had to be set straight.
