Biography

Alasdair Thornton is an experienced freelance writer who holds a bachelor of arts in English with a minor in religious studies from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois. He also completed a range of writing and improvisation comedy courses at both the Second City Training Center and the iO Theater in Chicago. Alasdair Thornton’s accomplishments with Second City include contributing to the creation of Mind the Thigh Gap, an original show that ran from August to October of 2014.

Mr. Thornton went on to write for a range of print and online publications as a self-employed content producer. Since August of 2016, he has served as an intern with New York City’s Comicsverse.com, crafting news reports about comic book-based films, conducting interviews with comic book writers and artists, reviewing comics and graphic novels, covering various comic conventions, and producing essays on comic book theory. Some of Alasdair Thornton’s favorite comic book series include DC titles such as Superman and Batman.
