1 Introduction Tea, the infusion product of various parts of the plant Camellia sinensis, is the most consumed beverage in the world, second only to water (Venditti et al. 2010). There has been an increase in tea production and tea consumption has grown by 3.5% each year over the past decade, reaching an estimated volume of approximately 6.4 million tons in 2021 (FAO 2022). For over 3000 years, tea has stood as a cultural hallmark in China.

Kota Klaten merupakan sebuah kota yang terletak di Jawa Tengah. Kota Klaten memiliki banyak tempat wisata seperti sumber mata air yaitu umbul dan wisata religi, salah satu hal yang menarik di Klaten yaitu tradisi sebar Apem Yaqowiyu saparan  yang letaknya di Kecamatan Jatinom. Tradisi ini sudah ada sejak 1589 Masehi atau 1511 Saka, Ciri khas tradisi Yaqowiyu yaitu penyebaran  kue apem, makanan berbentuk bundar yang terbuat dari tepung beras.
