Bibeau, 25, spent the last two seasons with the Sharks' American Hockey League affiliate San Jose Barracuda, while Meloche, 22, also spent last season in the AHL with the Colorado Eagles.
The San Jose Sharks have signed goaltender Antoine Bibeau to a two-year contract extension. Bibeau joined the Sharks as a free agent this past summer after getting non-tendered by the Toronto Maple Leafs, who selected the Victoriaville, Que., native in the sixth round of the 2013 NHL Draft (172nd overall). “Antoine Bibeau has been an important addition to our organization,” said Sharks assistant general manager Joe Will in a release.
Goaltender Antoine Bibeau as well as forwards Byron Froese and Frederik Gauthier were recalled from the American Hockey League on Tuesday by the Toronto Maple Leafs. Bibeau, 22, has a 7-7-2 record, a 2.46 goals-against average, a .908 save percentage and three shutouts in 16 games with the AHL's Toronto Marlies this season. He made 26 saves in his NHL debut against Colorado on Dec. 11. Froese, 25, has previously skated in two games with the Maple Leafs.
