Since Vine debuted in January of this year, the short video sharing platform has become an invaluable source of real-time journalism and breaking news. Monumental moments (some of which can be seen here) are being captured and shared on Vine by people around the world.
From Vine videos uncovering the aftermath of the bombings in Turkey to the newest puppy in the White House, the platform has given us an incredible perspective of local, regional, national and international news - all under six (and a half) seconds.
That's why Muck Rack is teaming up with Twitter to announce the Vine Journalism Awards. On October 2nd, we'll be honoring the best uses of Vine in journalism. To nominate a candidate for the awards, simply send a tweet or click the button below. We'll be accepting nominations until September 26th.
Learn more about the event here and if you're interested in joining send us an email with your completed Muck Rack profile. The Vine Journalism Awards are a precursor to the Shorty Awards which will also feature Vine categories.
