@richkauz Also the hope is that China will move some manufacturing to the network of FIZs in the Caucasus which would be more viable. But as with many OBOR projects, there may simply be a lack of demand to make it sustainable.
@richkauz It costs roughly three times more to use this route than current ones apparently - but it takes under half the time. Ports here (Poti) run well below capacity though so larger ships and increased competition could make it successful in the long run.
