I am a Philadelphia native and Phi Beta Kappa graduate who came to the UK in 1976 to complete a Master's degree in Theatre and Film Studies. I was Commissioning Editor and Associate Producer on 65 plays, series and serials at Anglia TV over 11 years working with the greatest actors, directors and writers of the golden age of British Television Drama. After a year as Development Executive with JE Entertainment I formed my own production company and produced 'Long Night's Journey into Day' about Israel after Rabin, which premiered at the Berlin Festival 1997. In 2004 a large Guardian editorial catapulted me into the world of broadcasting and I became a regular panellist on BBC radio 4 'Any Questions?' hosted by Jonathan Dimbleby. In the 2000s I have been a regular commentator on US-UK-Middle East affairs on Sky News, BBC Breakfast, BBC Press Preview and on ITV and Iranian networks. I have also written for the Daily Telegraph and Jewish Chronicle as well as for National Review, Weekly Standard, Front Page and The American. My novel Spitfire Girls was published in 2009 by Random House and my non-fiction book Don't Tread on me by Encounter Books in 2009. I am a devoted BAFTA member and am on the documentary and foreign film panels.
