What was your first job as a journalist?

My first "official" job as a journalist was working as a freelance reporter for the AV News, an online news site in Palmdale and Lancaster CA

What does it mean to be a journalist?

Being a journalist isn't just about chronicling big events or issues, but exploring how they impact people in their everyday lives.

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

I prefer to have someone simply present me with the info, data, documents or tips, and let the story tell itself.
