The OGs of locking carabiners, screw gates, are useful anywhere you need the extra security of a locking carabiner. They do take a little more time to close and operate than many auto-lockers, so make sure you’re comfortable with the time it takes to fully lock and unlock the gate of any screw gates you use. These are quickest locking carabiners and easiest to operate. Most need just a half twist and a push on the gate to open.
