I am a journalist from central Michigan, covering news in Saginaw, Bay City, Midland and Mount Pleasant. After producing content as an editorial intern for MLive Media Group, I returned to Central Michigan University, where I will receive a bachelor degree in 2014.

What does it mean to be a journalist?

A journalist is a person who wants to create a better world by getting people involved with news in order to provide a better product.

What's the funniest news-related #hashtag you've seen?

Following #BlackFriday while covering it was hilarious, seeing all the fights, lines and ridiculous customers weighing in on sales.

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

I prefer a short, to-the-point story pitch. I'd rather find my own sources; suggestions are helpful but I like to do a bit of hunting myself.
