Have you ever used a typewriter?

Who hasn't used a typewriter? I've also used word processors. Remember those?

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

Call, don't email. Your email will likely get lost in my inbox.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

No. I attended a broadcast journalism magnet school. I learned how to edit news clips back when tapes were still used.
