Meanwhile, Ash-har Quraishi was named Chicago correspondent. Previously Quraishi served as a multimedia correspondent and content producer for WTTW, Chicago’s PBS station, reporting for Chicago Tonight and the PBS NewsHour. Last week he tweeted in advance of the launch, "We're putting the system to the test @ajam. Live." A heckler tried to unruffle him, tweeting, "What system is that? Installing Sharia Law in the USA?" Quraishi wasted no time in replying, "Nope. But hopefully we'll combat ignorance." Nicely fielded, Ash-har.
