Colin Barr at the Wall Street Journal tells us that Alcoa, Hewlett-Packard and Bank of America will Be Replaced on Dow IndustrialsStephen Wisnefski there wrote, “Alcoa dropped from Dow Jones Industrial Average - was a component for half a century, HP and Bank of America also out.” Maryellen Tighe from the Financial Times admitted, “Didn't realize the #DJIA could change based on low stock prices.” Mark Albert from KSTP Channel 5 called it the “Biggest shakeup on Dow Jones Industrial Ave in decade: Alcoa, HP & B of A out; Nike, Visa, Goldman Sachs in.”
